Your designs, ready to heat press: Receive printed Blockout DTF transfer film measuring 210 × 297 mm. Cut out the designs and apply them with a heat press. Garments and application are not included.
Why choose Blockout?
An additional barrier layer reduces dye migration from the fabric into your design, especially on polyester and softshell. Always test first: depending on the fabric and dye, colour changes may appear days later.
What you receive
One printed 210 × 297 mm sheet per unit ordered. You can arrange several designs on each sheet. Full-colour printing with a white underbase is included, with no charge per additional colour.
Prepare your file and order
- Arrange your designs at their final size within 210 × 297 mm.
- Save as PDF or PNG with a transparent background. Do not mirror. Use at least 300 dpi for raster images, outline fonts and keep lines at least 0.6 mm thick.
- Select the number of sheets. Quantity 1 means one sheet.
- Upload your file or email it to info@thebuttonmaker.de after ordering, quoting your order number. For different designs, specify the quantity required for each file.
Apply your transfer
Use a heat press and a heat-compatible garment. Check the garment care instructions and test a spare piece before printing a batch.
- Cut out the design. Lay the garment flat, keeping seams, zips and buttons outside the pressing area.
- Place the printed side against the fabric and cover with suitable protective paper.
- For an initial polyester test, use 110–120 °C for about 10 seconds. Adjust temperature and pressure to your fabric and press.
- Peel the carrier carefully, following the peeling instructions for the supplied film. Ask us before pressing if you are unsure.
- Cover again and press for about 5 seconds.
These are starting values for testing, not a guarantee for every material. Check adhesion and colour changes after cooling as well.
Care
Wash inside out at no more than 40 °C, observing the garment's care label. Do not iron directly over the design.
