DTF transfers by the metre – 56 × 100 cm

Your artwork, ready to heat press: Receive printed DTF transfer film measuring 56 × 100 cm. Cut out your designs and apply them to your textiles using a heat press. Garments and application are not included.

What is DTF?

Your design is printed onto carrier film. Heat and pressure bond the print to the fabric. You do not need your own printer.

What you receive

• One printed 56 × 100 cm sheet per unit ordered.
• You can arrange several designs on one sheet.
• Full-colour printing with a white underbase, without additional charges per colour.

Artwork specifications and ordering

1. Arrange your designs at their final size within 56 × 100 cm.
2. Save as PDF or PNG with a transparent background. Do not mirror the artwork. Use at least 300 dpi for raster images, convert fonts to outlines and make lines at least 0.6 mm thick.
3. Select the number of sheets: quantity 1 means one sheet, quantity 2 means two sheets.
4. Upload your file or email it after ordering to info@thebuttonmaker.de, quoting your order number. For different files, specify the number of sheets required for each.

How to apply your design

We recommend a heat press for controlled temperature and even pressure. First check that your garment can withstand the heat.

1. Cut out the design and lay the textile flat.
2. Pre-press cotton for about 5 seconds.
3. Place the printed side against the fabric and cover with suitable protective paper.
4. For cotton: press at 120–135 °C for 15 seconds with medium to high pressure. Settings depend on your press.
5. Allow the film to cool briefly, peel while warm, then cover and press again for about 5 seconds.

These settings are guidelines for cotton. Polyester, blends and coated textiles require different settings. Test on a spare piece or an inconspicuous area first and contact us if unsure.

Care

Wash inside out at no more than 40 °C and follow the garment care instructions. Do not iron directly over the design.
